Career Highlights: 3rd at 2007 USA Outdoor Champs; 3-time NCAA Outdoor All-American; 2-time Missouri Valley Conference champion

After clearing no heights at the 2005 and 2006 USA Outdoor Championships, Pauli bounced back with a third-place finish at the 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Championships, which qualified him for a Team USA roster spot for the World Outdoor Championships later that summer in Osaka, Japan. Pauli’s clearance of 5.70m/18-8.25 equaled the performances of the more accomplished first and second place finishers at Nationals, Brad Walker and Jeff Hartwig. The final standings were determined by total misses. Pauli served notice of his breakthrough performance at USA Outdoors when he equaled his 2004 personal best clearance of 5.80m/19-0.25 with his win at Cedar Rapids on June 1.
